How long have you been in business?
Aimee O'Neill operates a third generation business which dates the late 1940's, when her grandfather, Howard S. O'Neill, opened a law practice in Bel Air, Maryland with his sons Harry and James. O'Neill, O'Neill & O'Neill specialized in Real Estate & Business Law plus income tax accounting services. John H. O'Neill, Aimee's father, operated a large grain and beef cattle farm in nearby Forest Hill, as well as auction, appraisal and real estate development services. Additionally, John provided adjunct Income Tax Accounting services for the Farm Clientele of his father and brothers at O'Neill, O'Neill & O'Neill. In 1980, Aimee joined her father in the practice, developing her expertise as a Real Estate Broker, General Certified Appraiser, Auctioneer and Tax Accountant.
What is your primary product or service?
The multiple disciplines of O'Neill Enterprises are equally relevant - Real Estate Services include multiple listing brokerage, marketing, rental management, auction and appraisal. Additionally, Aimee is qualified to appraise and/or auction personal property. The Tax Accounting practice includes farm and small business as well as personal income tax preparation plus year-round accounting and payroll services. Aimee specializes in Real and Personal Property Asset Planning, Management, Valuation, Sales and Estate probate services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked side-by-side with my father from my early teen years and became a partner in the business by the age of 25 years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Maintaining the expertise in multiple but related disciplines of real estate brokerage, appraisal, auction and accounting services provides the basis for consultation from a single source, rather than bringing together a group of single-discipline professionals. As a 7th generation resident of Harford County, I have the unique perspective which a knowledge of the history of the area provides, while continually bringing the services in line with current needs.
