Harford Counseling offers outpatient counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults. All of Harford Counseling's staff are Master's level clinicians, licensed at the highest level (i.e., LCSW-C/LCPC). Harford Counseling utilizes a variety of techniques (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing; Art Therapy; Play Therapy; Talk Therapy, etc.) to assist clients gain personal growth and/or cope with mental health/substance abuse issues. Harford Counseling will be offering Alcohol and Drug Education for clients who have received a DUI/DWI or other related legal charge and Outpatient treatment for clients who are found to have substance abuse/dependency issues(pending State Certification).

Jennifer Redding, LCSW-C is the owner/Executive Director of Harford Counseling. She has been practicing social work for over 12 years in a variety of settings (i.e., non-profit counseling, private practice, inpatient, residential, and a non-public school setting. )Her speciality is working with individuals who are coping with trauma (childhood abuse, neglect, accidents), as well as individuals who are suffering with substance abuse/dependency.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Harford Counseling sets itself apart from its competitors by its staff. All of Harford Counseling's staff are Master's level clinicians, licensed at the highest level by the state (LCSW-C/ LCPC). This is unusual, especially in the treatment of substance abuse/dependency. In addition, several of Harford Counseling's clinicians have additional specialized training in techniques proven extremely effective in treating individuals coping with trauma. Specifically, EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Each of these techniques have been extensively researched and found to be the treatment of choice for trauma.
